The most reliable method of shipping for any live bird (s) is through cargo on an airline.

All our falcons (birds) are physically inspected and scanned by the exporter, an export-approved veterinarian, and the Department of Agriculture prior to shipping. This is to guarantee the health and welfare of the birds and maintain the traceability of individual birds. The bird (s) livestock will be transported from the quarantine premises to the port of loading by transport operators selected by us. We always use carriers that have the knowledge and experience of the live export process. A representative of Roots Falconry will always be present at loading from quarantine and loading at the port of departure.

A representative of Roots Falconry will always be present at the arrival and discharge of the birds at a foreign airport. It is our attention to details and care to the very end that makes us the perfect partner. We have pride in our falcons and are always excited to present them to our customers. The health and welfare of our birds during final transportation and unloading overseas is the number one concern for us. Additionally, we will always oversee the discharge process and work closely with the importing company and government officials to safeguard this.

The process doesn’t stop at discharge for importing customers. Our team provides you with experience and know-how of obtaining the best result from your new falcon (s). We have an existing capability in aspects of health, nutrition, production, handling, and welfare to support our international customers in establishing a sustainable enterprise.

International Shipping Costs

While we always strive to provide the lowest shipping costs possible, international shipping has skyrocketed in price over the last few years. We do not have any control over international shipping costs (unfortunately) and will always do our best to find the most reliable option to ship your birds. However, if the cost of shipping your bird (s) to you is higher than what you budgeted, we will email you before shipping your falcon (s) to let you know of the additional cost and send you an additional invoice. At this time, if you decide you would not like to move forward with the shipment, we will refund you in full.
